| dc.description.abstract | 한국해양과학기술원(KIOST)에서는 한반도 주변 해역에 서식하는 해양생물의 출현정보와 종정보를 체계적으로 관리하기 위하여 2007년부터 한국해양생물지리정보시스템(Korea Ocean Biogeographic Information System)을 구축, 운영하고 있다. 2014년에는 최신 Open Source GIS 기술을 이용하는 시스템으로 개편작업을 진행하였다. Open Source GIS 프로그램 중에서 User Interface로 Javascript 기반의 OpenLayers, Application Server로 GeoServer, GIS Database로 PostGIS와 PostgresSQL를 사용하였다.신 Open Source GIS 기술을 이용하는 시스템으로 개편작업을 진행하였다.
