dc.description.abstract This paper describes the results of wind tunnel test of wind-induced responses of a photovoltaic solar wing. The scaled model consists of 12 solar wing panels, each supported by 2 cables. The gaps between panels were set constant. Sag ratio which is defined as the ratio of sag at mid span to span length of 2% was adopted. The wind speed was varied from 0 to 16m/s, considering the similarity law of the Froude Number and elastic parameter. From the test, a sudden increase in fluctuating displacement was found near a mean wind speed of 10m/s at a wind direction of 40 degree. A instability vibration was found near a mean wind speed of 1m/s when the wind direction was larger than 60 degree. The instability vibration is considered to be the edge tone phenomenon. which is defined as the ratio of sag at mid span to span length of 2% was adopted.
