dc.description.abstract Republic of Korea, even if it has not ratified the Protocol yet, puts forth quite an effort to cope with upcoming changes. In the case of Korea, statistics suggest that the nation’s manufacturers would have to face 50 billion won ($47 million) in additional payments to the providing states per year. The current state of play in the legislation, which is one of the most important way station for ratification, is in the final stage. But there are differences of opinions within the government departments. This paper aims to overview and to analyze legal and policy responses of Korean government to ABS in and focus on the marine biological resources. Korea has enacted various laws on marine biological resources,however maritime and fisheries bio resources have been regulated by different law. But integration of legal system is now underway to construct more efficient legal system. Add to that, this paper also introduces Korea Government Draft on Executive Law of Nagoya Protocol and finds their correlations.ion) in additional payments to the providing states per year.
