Collaborative Governance in the Social Economy - Focusing on the Performance of Community Business

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to diagnose the performance of coastal areas’ community businesses and to explore the effectiveness of government supporting programs. For this purpose, this study conducted the survey research and the interview of organization leaders. Compared to coastal areas’ community business and non-coastal areas’, there were no significant difference on sales, net benefits, and the number of employment. Among the government supporting programs, financial subsidy showed the most strong satisfaction rate. However, education programs showed somewhat lower level of satisfaction of community business.w of organization leaders.
