dc.description.abstract This study relates various environment changes to cold water zone in summer season in the East/Japan Sea. Cold water means the sea area where average sea surface temperature (SST) is 5°C lower than its surroundings. Data analysis was performed based on the divers environment factors using satellite data and in-situ data from summer to fall during the period of 2011~2016. We used daily SST data derived from the AVHRR, the MODIS, and the VIIRS to located cold water area. We also used daily chlorophyll concentration (chl) data from the Geostationary Ocean color Imager (GOCI), geostrophic current data from the AVISO, and wind speed data from the WindSat to the influnce of life a cold water zone. As a result we studied that the cycle of life a cold water zone is repeated in summer season. Also, we found out that the cold water tends to occurred at the end of Jun and disappeared at the end of August. It sees that the chl increment from September to November although after the cold water zone disappeared. On the other hand We found see that this phenomenon comes from inertial influence of cold water zone.rmed based on the divers environment factors using satellite data and in-situ data from summer to fall during the period of 2011~2016.
