dc.description.abstract Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology (KIOST) and US institutes led by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have a joint field campaign for ocean color studies (referred to as KORUS-OC, hereafter) in the East/Japan sea and Yellow sea around Korea Peninsular. Primary objective of this 18-day field campaign is to investigate whether biological and biogeochemical process that plays important roles in open oceans and coastal environments can be observed and resolved by geostationary ocean color satellite such as Korean Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI). sea and Yellow sea around Korea Peninsular.
