dc.description.abstract Geostationary Ocean Color Imager II (GOCI-II) will be launched to predict marine disasters andmanage the fishery environment in March 2019. GOCI-II Ground Segment System (G2GS)should be prepared for GOCI-II operation, data processing and distribution before launch. Fordeveloping the efficient satellite data processing system, Korea Ocean Satellite Center (KOSC)examines information technology such as the parallel processing, the high-performancecomputing, the cloud service, and the network optimization. G2GS is composed of six functionalsubsystems such as data acquisition subsystem (DAS), data correction subsystem (DCS),precision correction subsystem (PCS), ocean data processing subsystem (ODPS), datamanagement subsystem (DMS), and operation & quality management subsystem (OQMS). Thedesign of G2GS is ongoing to distinguish interfaces/ functions/ use cases/ test procedures. Themain functions of ODPS and DMS will be implemented in 2017. The remaining functions of allsubsystems will be implemented in 2018. Also, the functional test and integrated test for G2GSwill be performed in late 2018~early 2019. Using G2GS, we expect to support GOCI-II oceancolor data to government-related organizations and public users in real time.d distribution before launch.
