dc.description.abstract Regional sea level variation in the East Asian Marginal Seas was simulated using the global non-Boussinesq sea level model (GFDL MOM5-SIS) for 58 years (1958-2015). Seasonal and interannual sea level variation in the model agrees with the AVISO SSH and reconstructed sea level (Hamlington et. al, 2011) in general. Rates of the simulated SLR are comparable to those of the AVISO SSH and reconstructed sea level. MSL in the model and AVISO SSH show the SLR of 2~5 cm for 1993-2014. We find that non-steric sea level change is dominant in the YS, ECS and EJS, while steric component is dominant in the Kuroshio region. The recent SLR in the EAMS region is supposed to be largely due to the mass convergence such as the transport changes in the Kuroshio -
