dc.description.abstract This paper presents results of the physical experiments that were performed to investigate horizontal wave loading acting on the perforated caisson breakwater having two wave chambers. The main focus of this research was placed on evaluation of the maximum horizontal force onthe porous middle wall between the two wave chambers, which was found to be on average lessthan half of the estimate by Godas formula for the solid wall. This implies that the peak waveloading on the middle wall is comparatively smaller than those on the front or rear walls of thedouble-chamber perforated caisson.on of the maximum horizontal force onthe porous middle wall between the two wave chambers, which was found to be on average lessthan half of the estimate by Godas formula for the solid wall.
