dc.description.abstract | This paper introduces a national wave information system that has been developed recently. In Korea, wave observations are conducted by several institutions, such as the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration (KHOA), and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF). The new web-based wave information system, termed as WINK (Wave Information Network of Korea), collects nearshore wave data from those organizations and provides them after quality control of the data. Motivation or background of developing WINK and future perspectives of the developed system are described in this paper. | - |
