Abstract

This study investigated the Korean newspaper’s inclination toward positive, neutral or negative report through analyzing reports in the Korean newspapers about sub-issues of an issue, the sinking of the Sewol ferry and analyzed the impactof the inclination on formation of public opinion. Based on the analysis of the impact of the inclination, this study also analyzed the priming impacts of press such as newspapers. To do this investigation and analysis, this study exploredthe sub-issues and their life cycles consisting of the Sewol ferry issue and analysed competitive and complementary relationships between the sub-issues.
