dc.description.abstract The Circular Steel Tube, CST is a structure that is widely used throughout industries such as fluids or gas containers for storages and transport, bridges, piers and building members. The purpose of this study is to investigate the nonlinear buckling behavior of CST under uniaxial compression in the elevated temperate considering the material and geometric non-linearity. The parameters of the analytical model were selected as a fire exposure condition, a slenderness ratio, and a diameter/thickness ratio, and comprehensive buckling behavior characteristics of the CST were obtained using ABAQUS, a general structural analysis program. The critical buckling strength and buckling shape of the CST were analyzed through 3D modeling in order to present basic data of reasonably efficient design. As a result, it can be found that the influence of the thickness ratio in the short column under the 100% section is more significant and the material and geometric nonlinear behavior should be considered than the slenderer column. -
