Abstract
In this study, a GMNIA analysis was performed by considering material non-linearity and geometrical non-linearity with imperfections for a cylindrical shell that was subjected to uniaxial compression under elevated temperatures. The inelastic buckling behavior of steel members was evaluated under the high temperature fully or partially. Even if only the local part of the structure was exposed to a high temperature, the buckling strength decreased when compared to that of theroom temperature, and the collapse possibility due to the buckling significantly increased and could not be overlooked. Using a fire exposure area, a slenderness ratio, and a D/t (diameter/thickness ratio) as variables, the analytical model was carried out the parametric study. The inelastic analysis results were compared to buckling curves of Eurocode.
