dc.description.abstract By analyzing the observed beach width and wave data at multiple locations on the east coast of Korea characteristic patterns of coastal changes under wave or periodic conditions were investigated. The conditional correlation indicated thatthe wave height and period are exchangeably related in affecting the beach erosion. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze in detail the wave height or period level to prevent erosion. The result can also be used for a shoreline equilibriummodel or an evolved data-driven model to obtain more reasonable and practical outcomes. -
