한국의 해양생물다양성과 관리 현황

Abstract

Marine biodiversity in Korean waters are relatively high due to diverse habitats and current systems. Enactment of a law, ‘Conservation and management of the marine ecosystem’, spurred activities for systematic investigation and management of marine biodiversity. Cataloging the marine species and construction of database on the species information established a foundation for biodiversity conservation and management in Korea. Marine protected area is the best means for biodiversity preservation.
