dc.description.abstract Although some volume of sands is supplied into the pocket, Mallipo beach will be disappeared before long without maintenance nourishment.West- or southwestward sand flux at a central MSL point during stormy cycles is about 100 times higher than shore-parallel back-and-forth flux during calm period. In winter season, thank to strong wave action, the sand bar at 1km off the southern headland, and the eddy developed in the pocket, offshore sands transported into the beach. In summer season, however, the beach sands steadily move out of the pocket. For more quantitative discussion, more detailed field experiments and nourishment information are required. -
