Abstract
- Photosynthetically Available Radiation (PAR) has high correlation with primary production and influences to carbon cycle. Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) is used to estimate more accurate daily PAR than polar and sun-synchronized orbit sensor. Validation with in-situ data was carried out which observed at two stations, Socheong-cho and Ieodo station, during 2015. Correlation coefficient is 0.97. Due to correct overestimated and underestimated value, calibration was carried out, too. Result of clear sky calibration, RMSE of GOCI PAR is improved. At further study, cloud pixel value and whole seasonal variation will be studied. Also, more accurate daily PAR and below water surface PAR will be analyzed.
